One of Africa's largest malls, on the corniche — international brands, an aquarium, a souk-styled traditional section and a musical fountain.

2. Habous Quarter (New Medina)

The 1930s French-built medina — babouches, brass, olives, books and the city's best-known pastry shops, in orderly arcaded streets.

- Cost: Budget–Mid
- Tip: Calmer and far less pressured than Marrakech or Fez, and the craft quality is good. This is the pleasant way to buy Moroccan goods.
