Tip: Quieter and less pushy than most Southeast Asian markets. Bargaining is expected but gentle — a smile and one counter-offer usually settles it.
Watch outMuch of the 'hill-tribe' textile is imported machine work from Vietnam and China. Genuine hand-woven pieces have visible loom irregularities and cost noticeably more.
