The Western Wall requires men to cover their heads (kippot are available free at the entrance) and women to dress modestly. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre and Islamic sites (Dome of the Rock, Al-Aqsa) require covered shoulders and knees, and women must cover their hair at mosques.
Israel has the world's most rigorous airport security. Expect multiple rounds of questioning, bag checks, and profiling. Ben Gurion Airport security begins before you reach the check-in counter. Allow at least 3 hours for departure.
