Prague banned public drinking in most of the Old Town and Charles Bridge area in 2019. Open alcohol containers in these zones result in fines. The rule was introduced in response to mass tourism party behaviour.
Bars in certain Prague tourist streets use scam menus where prices are 5–20× higher than advertised. A beer ordered for what seemed like €3 arrives on a bill for €30. The venue has security to enforce payment.
